April 2003: Spring in San Diego county

I hardly recognized San Diego, when I returned from Palmer Station. There were flowers everywhere! It must have continued raining while I was gone. Everything had sprung to life also in the desert areas east of San Diego. Cacti and wildflowers where in full bloom. It was beautiful!

Couger Canyon ... ... located in the north eastern part of Anza Borrego State Park.

Glider Port ... ... the "airport" for hang- and paragliders above Black's Beach, north of La Jolla.

Hot Springs Mountain ... ... the highest peak of San Diego county.

Point Loma ... ... the place where Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo discovered San Diego Bay on September 28, 1542.
