June 2003: UV Intercomparison at Table Mountain and Rocky Mountains National Park
In June, I attended a large measurement campaign close to Boulder, CO. More than a dozen instruments to measure solar UV radiation were brought together for comparing their results. The preparation of the activity was hard work (and that's why there is no Updater for May). It was worth the effort; the results turned out nicely. There was also some opportunity for exploring the Rocky Mountains with my colleagues. After the campaign was over, I spent one day in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was my second visit. (The travelogue of the first visit is here.)

We started our tour through Rocky Mountain National Park at Moraine Park, continued west on the famous Trail Ridge road, passed the continental divide, watched an amazing number of elks at Timber Creek, and left the park at Grand Lake.
